Three Days, Four Islands

The shortest route that does not feel rushed: Rinca and Kalong on day one, Padar and Pink Beach on day two, a manta stop on the way home.

Day by Day

  1. 01

    Day 1 · Rinca & Kalong

Depart Labuan Bajo, register at Loh Buaya and take the ranger-led trek. Anchor at Kalong for the flying foxes at dusk.

  2. 02

    Day 2 · Padar & Pink Beach

Pre-dawn climb to the Padar ridge, then snorkelling at Pink Beach and a Komodo Island stop.

  3. 03

    Day 3 · Manta & Return

Manta Point or Batu Bolong at first light, then the run back to Labuan Bajo by early afternoon.

Format

Liveaboard or Land-Based

The same three days run very differently depending on where you sleep.

Liveaboard

Wake up already at the next island. The only way to reach Padar and Rinca outside the day-boat window.

Land-based

Hotel in Labuan Bajo each night. More comfort ashore, but two long crossings a day and later arrivals.

Cost

Shared open trips are the cheapest entry. A private charter is priced per boat, so it scales with group size.

When to book

Dry-season weekends go first. In the wet season, keep a spare day for a postponed crossing.
