Getting There & Costs
There is one route and no shortcut. Every visitor flies into Komodo Airport and crosses by sea — 30 to 45 minutes on a speedboat, an hour and a half to two on a wooden boat.
Arrange the CrossingKomodo Airport in Labuan Bajo is the gateway. From the harbour it is a chartered boat, a shared day trip, or a liveaboard — there is no scheduled public service to the island.
Choose a Boat
The park fee is identical whichever you take. What changes is time, comfort and how much of the day is yours.

Your own departure time and second stop. Priced per boat per day, so cost per head falls sharply with group size.
Rinca folded into a multi-day route. Reaches the island outside the day-trip window, which is a real advantage at dawn.
Flights from Denpasar run 1h20 to 1h40. Build in a night in Labuan Bajo rather than connecting straight onto a boat.
Two fixed layers and one variable. Foreign visitors pay a flat IDR 250,000 park fee under PP No. 36/2024; Indonesian citizens pay IDR 50,000 on weekdays and IDR 75,000 at weekends and public holidays.
On top sits the ranger-guide fee of roughly IDR 150,000 per group of one to five. The boat is the part that actually moves the total, and it is quoted in USD.
