1 · Pick the date
Dry season fills first. Wet season needs a spare day for a postponed crossing.

Shared trip, private charter or liveaboard. This decides your arrival time more than anything else.

3 · Park entry via SiOra
Booked in advance since April 2026. The official site is siora.id — anything else is a reseller at best.

4 · Pay the fees
Park entrance and the ranger fee are set in IDR and paid separately from the boat.

Get the departure time in writing. "Early morning" is not a time.

What is included
Ask explicitly whether park entrance, ranger fee, lunch and snorkel gear are in the quoted price.

The operator should be licensed to carry passengers in the park and able to say so plainly.

Cancellation terms
Ask what happens if the harbour stops the crossing. It is the most likely thing to go wrong.
