Getting There & Costs

What You Can Change, and What You Cannot

The boat, the route and the hour are yours. The ranger, the trail and the fee are the park’s. Knowing which is which is what makes a custom trip worth paying for.

Four Things You Control

Everything here changes the day materially, and none of it requires the park’s permission.

Departure hour

The single biggest lever. Leaving first puts you at Loh Buaya before the shared fleet.

Stops and order

Padar before or after Rinca, a snorkel site chosen for the tide, a sandbar instead of a reef.

The vessel

Speedboat for time, wooden boat for comfort, phinisi for nights aboard.

Length

One day, three, or a week. Longer routes buy weather tolerance more than extra islands.

Fixed by the Park

  • Ranger-led trekking

Every group of one to five walks with a licensed ranger. Not negotiable at any price.

  • The entrance fee

IDR 250,000 flat for foreign visitors under PP No. 36/2024, whatever you charter.

  • The daily quota

Roughly 1,000 visitors park-wide across three sessions, booked through SiOra.
