Nobody Sleeps on Rinca

The choice is really about what time you reach Loh Buaya, which decides how much wildlife is still moving.
In short
Rinca has no resident population beyond rangers on rotation, and the Loh Buaya zone has no guest facilities of any kind. Camping and overnight trekking are not permitted either.
- Kampung Rinca, the island’s fishing settlement, sits outside the guided route and is not a visitor destination.
- Listings advertising a "resort near Rinca" are almost always in Labuan Bajo or on another island entirely.
- The only way to be on the water at dawn is to have slept on it.
