Why the Prices You Read Disagree

The park’s rules changed repeatedly between 2022 and 2026. Most sites quote a figure from somewhere in that history without saying which year it belongs to.

What Changed, and When

  1. 01

    2022–2024 · Tariff disputes

Proposed fee increases and closure proposals were debated publicly and then dropped. Figures from this period still circulate as though current.

  2. 02

    Rebuild at Loh Buaya

The ranger station and visitor infrastructure were rebuilt during the same period.

  3. 03

    30 October 2024 · PP No. 36/2024

The regulation that sets the current entrance fee structure came into force. This is the figure in effect.

  4. 04

    April 2026 · SiOra

Mandatory online booking for park entry rolled out. Paying at the jetty stopped being possible.

In short

Only the last two entries affect a trip planned today: the fee structure under PP No. 36/2024, and advance booking through SiOra.

  • Foreign visitors pay IDR 250,000 flat — the same on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
  • The daily quota of roughly 1,000 visitors is park-wide across three sessions, not per island.
  • Any page quoting a different entrance fee is quoting a superseded or proposed figure.
